Donation appointments can be made for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
Due to high demand to donate items, same-day appointments are rarely available!

We have the following donation requirements:
- Limit of 5 boxes/bags/large items per appointment.
- Put hard goods such as dishware, decor, toys, and games into stackable boxes.
- Place clothing, linens, and other soft goods in kitchen-size garbage bags
- All donations MUST be brought to the donation receiving door on the north side of our building.
- Please wait for the donation attendant to open the gate for you. You can also call the store when you arrive to let us know you are at the gate.
- Please provide the donation attendant with your name and appointment time. Ask for a donation receipt if you would like one.

Donation policies:
- The Wise Penny Thrift Shoppe is a nonprofit store run by volunteers.
- All net proceeds go to local Lutheran educational programs.
- Any items donated are tax-deductible.

- We reserve the right to inspect all items onsite prior to accepting them for donation, including those that a volunteer tells you over the phone that we will accept.
- We do NOT allow after-hours donations! It is illegal to leave donations outside our store when the store is closed or place them in our dumpster at any time.
Items the Wise Penny accepts:
- Clothing, all sizes and seasons (put in white kitchen garbage bags)
- Footwear
- Jewelry
- Purses, bags, and luggage
- Books
- Toys, puzzles, and games (label if there are missing parts; package sets individually)
- CDs, DVDs, VHS, and cassettes (must have their original case!)
- Housewares, including dishes, kitchenware, and small appliances
- Home décor and framed art
- Linens, curtains, and bedding
- Fabric and craft supplies
- Greeting cards and gift wrap/bags
- Seasonal décor (please keep large items until they are in-season if possible)
- Tools and hardware
- Sporting goods
- Vintage and antiques (please tell us approximate value of items)
- Lamps and clocks
- Strollers, high chairs, and other baby items (must be clean, in good condition, and not recalled)
- Electronics less than 5 years old (must be in working order!)
- Some Furniture (excellent condition with no rips, tears, stains, fading, pet hair, or smoke smell)
We cannot accept:
- Electronics 5 years or older; all printers, and ALL tube-style TVs, TV/VCR combos, computer monitors
- Large appliances, including over-the-stove microwaves
- Child car seats and drop-side cribs for babies
- Mattresses and box springs
- Full-size couches and ALL sofa sleepers/hide-a-beds
- Entertainment centers
- Vertical blinds and any unpackaged window treatments
- Light fixtures
- Carpet pieces, doors, windows, and car mats
- Toilets and sinks
- Anything that is broken, dirty, torn, moldy/mildew, smells like smoke or has pet hair
- Anything that has been recalled
